Did you know that the first description of a mineral oil fuelled lamp was recorded by the Persian alchemist al-Razi in Bagdad back in the 9th century? He called it a naffatah and wrote about it in the Kitab al-Asrar, otherwise known as The Book of Secrets.
The lamp is decorative (non-working) and comprises of two parts. The metal shepherds hook measures 20.5cm high and the lamp meaures 4.5cm high (including the handle). It’s made of metal with an acrylic “chimney”. It’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
